Negatieve ervaring: Slechte communicatie en geen oplossingsgerichtheid Onze afspraak werd vermeend geannuleerd, maar ik heb hier nooit een e-mail over ontvangen op het gebruikelijke mailadres waar al het contact plaatsvond, inclusief de afspraakbevestiging. Er werd ook beweerd dat er een sms was gestuurd, maar deze is nergens terug te vinden. Toen ik mijn teleurstelling uitte aan Omid en probeerde te achterhalen waar het mis was gegaan, kreeg ik te horen dat ze geen zin hadden om dit uit te zoeken en dat ik simpelweg pech had. Geen enkele moeite om een oplossing te vinden. Zeer teleurstellende ervaring, absoluut niet aan te raden!

As immigrants, our knowledge and experience of the Dutch laws and practices are not as thorough as the rest. He always made sure to explain every detail, no matter how small or inconsequential, so that we never felt like we were in the dark or uninformed. Fantastische ervaring: I hired Sander to help me find and buy an apartment in Central Haarlem. One of the smartest choices I've made. He's super knowledgeable on every aspect of the Dutch system, which works very differently from the UK. He gave me really clear advice at every step throughout the process and massively de-risked the purchase. That was particularly helpful in the tricky phases once my offer was accepted when there's time pressure. He was very responsive and authentically warm and friendly too - we had a really good laugh. Negatieve ervaring: Our experience with Gisele Nader spanned 3-4 weeks. Initially, she demonstrated knowledge and clarity in explaining the buying process. However, her unprofessional attitude during the later stages left us questioning the true value of working with her: - Lack of Professionalism: During her holiday, Gisele’s colleague stepped in to help us view an apartment due to a tight schedule. However, Gisele later informed us that neither she nor her colleagues would be available for future viewings, leading to the termination of the service contract during bidding preparation. Her & VK Makelaar’s unprofessionalism left us unable to view the same apartment with another realtor and hindered our bidding preparation, and we lost our dream apartment. - Lack of Proactive Viewings: We had to arrange viewings ourselves, and Gisele’s response time was too slow. We could not rely on her at all, she did not schedule a single viewing for us. - Misalignment with Our Preferences: Despite clear communication about our desired search area, Gisele only sent properties in areas we wanted to avoid. But do not even expect to receive any property recommendations. When we reminded her our wishes, she got offended instead of trying to understand her client’s wishes. - Unfulfilled Promises: Gisele failed to view a house she promised to see, leaving us to make a bid without her guidance on potential defects and renovation costs. None of her colleagues made any effort to view the property we wanted to see desparately. - Her speed & mindset is not sufficient for the heated market. She does the bare minimum. She does not provide essential tips & tricks in the buying process, which were provided by our close network. Honestly, you can find with better agents with lower fees.

Fantastische ervaring: Tijdens een bezichtiging kwamen wij met Kim in aanraking als verkopend makelaar. Wij raakten met haar aan de praat en raakten erg enthousiast. During the search, we worked closely with Kim van Straten, and she would act swifly on all the apartment ads that we would share. Fantastische ervaring: Great & very fast service! For buying purposes, we needed an urgent appraisal for our appartment. We contacted VK Makelaars & Taxateurs and within two hours, they came by to appraise our appartment. To top that, they finished the conceptual report the same day! Fantastische ervaring: My wife and I met Sean when we walking around a neighborhood in Haarlem asking people about the house we wanted to buy. Sean was the only one who we met that day but he happened to be a real estate agent and after having a chat, we agreed to work together. In the end we got that house, Sean helped a lot with negotiations with the selling side where sellers behaved… hmmm, let’s say “funky”. Overall Sean is a proactive person who puts your interest first, I don’t need anything else from a real estate agent.

Fantastische ervaring: Bij de aankoop van ons eerste woning zijn we fantastisch geholpen door Reggie Detering van VK makelaars. Bij vragen en onzekerheden stond Reggie altijd paraat om heel snel (zelfs in de avonden en in de weekenden) contact op te nemen en onze vragen te beantwoorden. Fantastische ervaring: We were on the lookout for a real-estate agent with whom we could have a somewhat informal relationship (more warm and friendly and less rigid), and of course one with a ton of patience that can explain and guide us through this thick "forest" that is the Dutch housing market (given that we are also not native Dutch). We found all this in Reggie, and in one month and a half we managed to find our dream house!
