We had been looking for an apartment on our own for 3 weeks but could only book a couple of viewings and none were conclusive. We then decided to ask Dara from Urban Homies some help. Thanks to her we were able to find a proper house in record time! It took her only 3 days after signing our contract to seek the apartment we wanted online and immediately book a viewing for us. She attended the viewing along with us, talked to the state agent personally and gave us helpful hints on how to make the best offer for the house. A few days later we were selected to be the new tenants and finally moved in. Dara was, again, present during the keys’ handover and managed to give us all the info required for the new GWE bills. Plus, I wasn’t in the Netherlands yet so quite hard to find a place. Anna and Dara were very helpful in both the search and advices, and stayed available during the whole time. With every viewing they were honest about their thoughts, the positive and negative of each appartement and took time to hear my feedbacks to narrow down the search. In the end, it took about two weeks to find me the perfect apartment. Negatieve ervaring: In general this agency work very professional. However, watch out with your deposit!. This agency protect landlords with atypical clause to return the deposit 2 months after rental agreement is finished (this is not common in the netherlands). Also please notice that they work with Landlords that do not return deposits. Most probably you will have to sue the landlord to have your deposit back. Currently I'm fighting to get my deposit back.

Fantastische ervaring: When you tell someone you’re looking for a new home in downtown Amsterdam, people will laugh and tell you it’s impossible. It’s hard, but not impossible. At least, once you’ve chosen to work with Urban Homies. And no, they don’t make you pay a fee in advance to check out your new home. And yes, they are punctual every step of the way; prompt email reply and swift answers with no room for misunderstandings. But most importantly: it’s humanity over business here. Although we were not the ideal candidates on paper, Yael made up her own mind about this by meeting with us. And just gave us the one chance it takes, to find that great new place in Amsterdam, in a great neighbourhood. Highly recommended, especially if you’re abroad and looking for a reliable and professional real-estate agent.
